About Us

Who We Are

Dancing Dots is a small business that caters to an international community of visually impaired musicians and those who support them by providing accessible, interactive music software combined with related technology, publications, and training services.

What We Do

We assist blind and low-vision individuals to independently read, write, and record their music. Our products and services foster inclusion, literacy, and independence for visually-impaired musicians and audio producers who are engaged in educational, leisure, and professional pursuits.

Why We Do It

We envision a world where everyone can join in music-making regardless of their visual acuity. Our founder, Bill McCann, is a life-long musician who is blind. He founded his company to eliminate many of the same barriers he encountered while participating in school ensembles and earning his college degree in music. He and Albert Milani, who built McCann’s prototype of GoodFeel into the world’s first commercial braille music translator software, have a passion to quickly supply visually impaired musicians with direct access to scores in their preferred media and to improve communication between musicians who have 20-20 vision, low vision or no vision.
